Fruits

I’m reading a book about Paleo diet and found these instructions, which I believe it is very useful for everyone. Normally the best option when buying vegetables would be the fresh, locally grown organic produce in season. But, for many of us, the budget is tight. Besides that, some of us don’t live where there is a farmer market.  So, where best to put your money?

Next I’ll present two lists, in the first one are the foods that are most likely to be heavily contaminated, ranked in order, from dirtiest to less dirt.

In the second list are the foods that are least likely to be contaminated, ranked in order with the produce with the absolute lowest pesticides first.

The lists are created by the Environmental Group (EWG) and have scientific background; the source of by information is the book “500 Paleo Recipes” by Dana Carpander.

 Foods to watch out for:

1. Peaches

2. Apples
